Branching out for Christmas at Angmering Station

The three primary schools of Rustington (Georgian Gardens C.P.,  Rustington C.P and Summerlea C.P) have once again shared their creativity with the community and train travellers by making a range of beautiful decorations to dress the Christmas tree kindly donated by Haskins Garden Centre to Angmering Station.

Children from each of the schools spent a morning on a joint venture festooning the eight foot tree with glittering cones, angels, snowflakes, mini glitter trees and multi-coloured baubles with the help of the station staff.

The huge tree fills a large part of the Booking Office and the station staff said they are sure it will be as much appreciated this year as it has been in previous years. Many passengers waiting for a train said their wait was brightened in every way by having the children’s creations to enjoy.

All the passengers travelling on the morning on the event certainly commented on the festive atmosphere and on how the tree and art work was enhancing the station. The children, too, said it had been great fun and they would be bringing their families to see their ‘work’.

The tree and five display boards of Christmas prints will be available for all to enjoy until the New Year.
