Welcome

“Thanks to the generosity of our customers and the efforts of our staff, Haskins has over the years raised thousands of pounds for a variety of local charities.”

Our centres are proud to be associated with the following charities:

Nominated Charity for
Haskins Ferndown & Head Office:

HELP for HEROES is a Tri service charity, helping members of the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force.

The charity was launched in October 2007 in response to the desire of ordinary people to do something practical to help our wounded servicemen and women. HELP for HEROES is a strictly non political, non critical organisation, recognizing that wars happen under any government.

Nominated Charity for
Haskins Snowhill:

St Catherine’s Hospice is a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support to local people and their families, friends and carers. St Catherine’s aspires to a time when every individual can approach death informed, supported and free of pain; a time when the needs of the individual, and of those close to them, are met with personalised care at the end of life. We critically rely on voluntary donations and legacies and our care is only made possible thanks to the generosity of supporters and volunteers.

Nominated Charity for
Haskins Roundstone:

The Sussex Air Ambulance Appeal was launched in June 2005 by local actress Penelope Keith CBE. The appeal target was set at a quarter of a million pounds. The emergency helicopter was launched by a host of celebrities including Penelope Keith and Bernard Cribbins on June 8th 2007.

Responding swiftly to 999 calls, air ambulances are able to deliver a medical crew to the scene of an accident or medical emergency and to transport patients to the nearest major hospital or specialist unit, in a fraction of the time taken by a land ambulance. Sussex has a complete HEMS Service (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service), and employs the highest possible clinical standards in pre hospital care.

Nominated Charity for
Haskins West End:

Naomi House children's hospice provides respite care, terminal care and bereavement support for children and families from across the south of England. At Naomi House, children are not only cared for - we aim to enrich, enjoy and value short lives.

"The joy of Naomi House is the life that exudes from it. Forget all preconceptions about hospices. The sound of children's laughter at play as their disabled bodies made the most of their time at this wonderful place, echoed in the corridors and gardens and was a joy to behold. A little face outside the window smiling and waving, added the reality that around this sadness and inevitability, happy lives were continuing."
