Staff at the Ferndown Haskins Garden Centre have voted the Forest Holme Hospice as their charity to benefit from fundraising events and activities during 2015. Matt Hill, Haskins General Manager and Customer Services Manager Joolz Walford, gave the Poole based hospice the good news after visiting the centre of excellence in the care of those with life limiting illnesses.
“We are very impressed with the devotion shown not only by the care staff but the fundraising team who are responsible for raising the £500,000 required annually to support its specialist end of life care for people in Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks,” said Matt Hill. “I’m sure our customers will also wish to support by joining in our fundraising activities and also donating in the dedicated wishing well.”
Hannah Parsons, Events and Corporate Fundraiser at Forest Holme, said: “Every year the team at Forest Holme provides specialist care to over 1,600 local people living with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The support from Haskins Garden Centre will enable us to provide consistent and unconditional care not just now, but also in the future.”
The Haskins website www.haskins.co.uk will provide details of events and activities to be held at the centre. Anyone wishing to offer support, or to find out more about Forest Holme Hospice, can contact Hannah Parsons on 01202 442558 or firstname.lastname@example.org
