The annual Haskins Garden Centre’s Christmas Kids Evening at West End raised over £350 for the Countess Of Mountbatten Hospice. Hundreds of children and their parents visited Santa in his grotto, and all of the proceeds from the tickets was donated to the good cause. The Festive visitors also enjoyed activities including face painting, storytelling, competitions a charity raffle whilst tasty food and drink tasting demos were held. Special seasonal meals were also served by the restaurant.
Peter Callaway, General Manager of the centre, said that the staff had worked hard to prepare for the successful evening and wear fancy dress.
“The team still manage to find time during a very busy period in our Christmas department to puts on a great evening for visitors both young and old,” said Peter. “We thank everyone, both customers and staff, who supported the popular charity event and hope they have a great Christmas.”
