The Haskins Garden Centre at Ferndown has gained awards from the annual Garden Centres Association awards for the South Thames region. The Haskins team who attended a presentation in Chessington returned with a Highly Commended Certificate for the overall centre and merit certificates for catering, toilets and disabled facilities check out area and customer service points, approach and car parking following the strict audits carried out by the GCA inspectors.
Haskins Chief Executive Julian Winfield, said that he was delighted that the centre received the accolades on the centre’s 20th anniversary: “The awards not only confirm that the centre is of a high standard but celebrates the professionalism of the team that bring the centre to life for customers with their excellent customer service, advice and knowledge.”
The purpose built centre was opened on the 10 acre site in March 1994. Turnover at the popular destination centre now exceeds £10 million per annum and employs over 150 full and part time personnel.
