Following the success of last year’s simplified competition with fewer categories and higher prize values, there will again be 4 main categories: Best Garden, Best Business or Retail Premises, Best Balcony/Terrace or Patio area, and Community Spirit/Involvement award. Prizes of £100 worth of vouchers will be available for the winners of the first 3 categories. Closing date for entries will be 10 July and judging will take place between 19 – 23 July. The Haskins Restaurant will provide the venue for an award ceremony in September.

"We are thrilled by the interest already shown by many residents and business people who have entered previous competitions,” said Lesley Dedman. “Ferndown takes great pride in its reputation as a green and pleasant place to live and work. The competition not only inspires people but also shows our appreciation to the growing number of property owners who add colour to our environment.”

Entry forms are available from the Haskins Garden Centre and will be distributed throughout the Ferndown area over the coming months.
