A former staff member at the Haskins Garden Centre at West End, Southampton has returned after a 3 years to take up a managerial role. Kathryn Crouch, 26 from Hythe, left to join a garden centre near Winchester after working at the centre as a supervisor.
Matt Hill, General Manager at the centre, says that when the position of Indoor Team Leader became available, the application from Kathryn was well received.
“We were disappointed when Kathryn announced she was leaving 3 years ago but we realised that it was essential for her career progression at the time,” said Matt Hill. “We are delighted to welcome her to the managerial role that covers many departments and team of 20 full and part time staff.”
The indoor departments include the busy furniture, sundries, books, gifts, food, clothing and the pet department which contribute over £3,300,000 of the centre’s £6.9 million turnover. |
