Garden Wear Challenge for Fashion Student

A special Ladies Evening hosted by the Haskins Garden Centre in Ferndown presented a special challenge for a Bournemouth and Poole College fashion design student from Merley. As part of the successful evening of displays including cooking from books sold at the centre, food and drink tasting, artistic decorating and massage therapy, part time sales assistant Chantelle Pike, 20, was asked to help the managers and staff present a fashion show to display garden and leisure clothing.

Thanks to Chantelle’s organisation, six members of the team paraded to music watched by over 500 amused shoppers.

Haskin’s General Manager Terry Head said that they were very grateful to the student for accepting the challenge: “I’m not sure that we as models did justice to the carefully selected range of clothing Chantelle mixed and matched!”
