Bulbs Planted by Ferndown In Bloom Volunteers

Ferndown In Bloom committee members were joined by other volunteers from the town to help plant over 4000 Daffodil and Hyacinth bulbs as part of a project to enhance the environment. It took the team just over 3 hours to plant the bulbs donated by the Haskins Garden Centre along Wimborne Road West, Ford Lane recreation ground and by the town council bench on Ameysford Road.

Lesley Dedman, Chairman of the Ferndown In Bloom committee, said that she hopes that people who drove or walked past the planting party with curious looks will be able to enjoy the vivid colours as the plants emerge this coming spring.
