Raffle Raises Funds For Children’s Hospice Garden Appeal

The Haskins Garden Centre in Ferndown supported the Green Fingers Charity’s appeal to help fund gardens for children’s hospices across the country.  A special raffle for an assortment of gardening goodies was arranged by staff at the centre.

The gardening kit included a wheelbarrow full of compost, gardening tools, and clothing items for the lucky winner.  The raffles held at the four Haskins centres across the south have raised a total of £2,290 for the appeal.

The lucky ticket holders at Ferndown were retired couple Rowena and Richard Exley from Poole.

“We are delighted with the prize!” said Rowena as Matt Hill the General Manager presented the first prize.  “We moved to Poole in February and the equipment will be greatly used in our new garden.”
