Special Grandad restores garden after bad fall

We love to hear from our customers, so we were especially delighted to hear from Kathryn, the proud granddaughter of Elgar Watkins and his beautiful garden in Sandford.

Kathryn, from Corfe Mullen, wrote in to tell us that Elgar, 85, had a bad fall in May and thought he’d never garden again. With courage and conviction, Elgar is now back on his feet and his garden is a delight to behold.

Kathryn told us, “I am so proud of him. He is a lovely Grandad and very special. He loves visiting your garden centre and it would be a wonderful surprise for his garden to be shown on your website.”

Looking at the pictures, I think it’s fair to say that Elgar has done an amazing job getting his garden ready for summer, so we’ve entered him into our Share Your Summer Garden competition.
