Last year, Matt Hill from Winchester Gained the thanks from organisers and the accolade as the top fundraiser at the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride, having raised over £1500 in donations and sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues. On Sunday, 6th July, Matt, who is General Manager of the Haskins Garden Centre at West End, will attempt to beat his own fundraising record, and will take a team to help boost the funds raised by the 26th annual Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride.
“It’s now a year since my father Chris died at the age of 61 of Oesophagus cancer and received immense support from his local Macmillan Unit. My family will be forever grateful and thankful for their deep understanding of the situation both on a medical and emotional level,” Said Matt. “It’s fantastic that my colleagues are willing to join me on the 100 mile route. We hope to be one of the top fundraising teams.”
