Retail Assistant – Indoor Sundries

20 hours a week to include Thursday late night

About You
The candidate will need to deliver exceptional customer service skills and be able to work at the required pace to ensure daily replenishment and recovery of stock. You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have confidence to work independently and as a team player. This job role can be physically demanding and involves some heavy lifting. The ideal candidate should have a basic knowledge of Garden care products with a desire to learn. Previous retail experience would be desirable.

About the role
You will be welcoming customers to the store and assessing their needs by providing assistance and information on the wide range of Garden Care, Pet Accessories and Wildlife products, “going the extra mile” to drive sales and achieve department goals. Maintain stock condition, presentation and stock levels with inventory control procedures.

Key Responsibilities
– Process POS (Point of Sale)
– Sales ordering and till operation
– Rotation and care of food items
– Replenishing stock
– Display and merchandising
– General housekeeping duties

About You

You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have confidence to work independently and as a team player. This job role can be physically demanding and involves some lifting. The ideal candidate should have a basic knowledge of Giftware, Clothing, Food Hall, Cookware and a desire to learn. Previous retail experience would be desirable.

The ideal candidate should have a basic knowledge of plant life and a desire to learn. Previous retail experience would be desirable.

About the role
You will be welcoming customers to the store and assessing their needs by providing assistance and information on all plants to include care tips, maintenance, suitability for space and taste. “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and achieve department goals. Maintain stock condition, presentation and stock levels with inventory control procedures.

– Watering and general maintenance
– Replenishing stock and merchandising
– General housekeeping duties

Hours Available
38 hours per week
Full-time role, with alternate weekends off and 1 day off in the week.
