Dracaena

Originating from the exotic islands within the Indian Ocean, Dracaena gets its name from the red, gum-like resin within its stems that reminded people of ‘Dragon's Blood'.

Not only giving a wow factor as a specimen, it also helps purify the air in your home by removing benzene, formaldehyde, xylene and toluene.

Thriving best in bright, indirect light, Dracaenas are ideal for kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms. Easy to care for, they tolerate irregular watering rhythms and dry soil much better than too much water, which can make their roots rot.

  • Ideal for light shade, indirect light
  • Repot during the spring, every 2 years
  • Keep temperature to around 13°C / 55°F in winter
