Outdoor Assistant Team Leader

38 hours per week alternate weekends
9am – 6pm including one late night 11am-8pm
Salary £19,170.68 – £20,741.49

Responsibilities include:
– The main duties will be leading the team in the building yard and compost area and ensuring its smooth running and upkeep.
– Supporting the outdoor team with a range of duties in all outdoor sections, maintaining high standards throughout the department, putting out stock and helping customers with any requests.
– Leading the team in general maintenance of the outdoor department with regular scheduled tasks.
– Supporting with Customer Sales Orders and stocktakes.
– Acting duty manager with unlock/lock up duties.

Key skills:
You will be self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail, have excellent customer service skills and be able to carry out a physically demanding job.
Computer literacy is essential.

Retail Assistant – Indoor Sundries

30.5 hours per week

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure daily replenishment and recovery of stock is maintained.

You will have confidence to work independently and as part of a team. This job role can be physically demanding and involves some heavy lifting, for example 12.75kg bags of seed or feed.

Ideally you will have a basic knowledge of Garden care products with a desire to learn. Previous retail experience would be desirable.

Please do not apply if you are unable to work weekends, Candidates will need to be flexible during the peak trading periods to work additional hours on weekends and Bank Holidays to include the Christmas and New Year period with opportunities to work part time shifts during the weekdays depending on availability.

About the role
You will be welcoming customers to the store and assessing their needs by providing assistance and information on the wide range of Garden Care, Pet Accessories and Wildlife products, “going the extra mile” to drive sales and achieve department goals. Maintain stock condition, presentation and stock levels with inventory control procedures.
