Chef de Partie – Pastry

Full Time – Salary experience dependant, starting £19,380.19

The right candidate will need to be proactive, enthusiastic and energetic.
Key responsibilities will include creating and displaying a wide range of Cakes and Pastries, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is delivered at all times. Must be a Team player and will be required to support the rest of the kitchen team during a busy service.
You will be required to work alternative weekends and up to two late nights a week until 8pm (Thursday and Friday)
The successful candidate will have previous patisserie experience and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Chef De Partie

Full Time – Salary experience dependant, starting £19,380.19

Working 38 hours a week, you will be required to assist in the day to day running of a very busy production kitchen, supplying food for the newly re-developed restaurant in our garden centre. Duties will include the preparation of salads, soups, breakfasts, lunch and also a wide range of pastry based products.

Confident and outgoing you will enjoy working with the public, as this role oversees our counter service; the carvery, pizza oven and patisserie counter. A strong pastry background is also a requirement of this position.

There are no split-shifts, but you will be required to work alternate weekends, with a day off in the week and one late night, normally a Thursday or a Friday.

Retail Assistant

Outdoor Department – Full Time

About You
The candidate will need to deliver exceptional customer service skills and be able to work at the required pace to ensure daily replenishment and recovery of stock. You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have confidence to work independently and as a team player. Due to the nature of some of the products involved, the candidate must be physically fit and able to lift substantial weights. Previous retail experience would be desirable.

Candidates will need to be flexible during the peak trading periods to work additional hours on weekends and Bank Holidays to include the Christmas and New Year period.

About the role
You will be welcoming customers to the store and assessing their needs by providing assistance and information on all building materials and garden decorations to include care tips, maintenance, suitability for space and taste. “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and achieve department goals. Maintain stock condition, presentation and stock levels with inventory control procedures.

– Process POS (Point of Sale)
– Sales ordering and till operation
– Watering and general maintenance
– Replenishing stock and merchandising
– General housekeeping duties

About You

Kitchen Porter

Full time position

The right candidate will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, energetic and a team-player.

Knowledge or an interest in Catering would be an advantage but is not essential.

You must be able to work on your own initiative, sometimes under pressure, in a fast-moving environment, have the ability to communicate well and be able to work as part of a large team.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
– Washing up and general cleaning
– Excepting deliveries and storing them away properly
– Vegetable prep
– General responsibility of clean storage areas
– Completion of cleaning schedules
– Disposal of waste and recycling

Restaurant Assistants

The right candidate will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, energetic and also a team-player. Key responsibilities will include: food and drink preparation and service ensuring our high customer service practices are sustained. The successful candidate will ideally have previous food service experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment serving our customers.

Previous catering/hospitality experience would be preferred, along with a proven and sound knowledge of customer service.
