Haskins celebrates a successful year of fundraising for The Hunter Centre

Haskins Forest Lodge Garden Centre in Farnham has raised over £2,800 for its 2022 Charity of the Year, The Hunter Centre in Surrey.

Throughout the past year, Haskins’ Forest Lodge team held various fundraising events in aid of The Hunter Centre, including quiz nights and raffles. The team also collected donations from customers via the Charity Wishing Well, which is placed at the centre’s exit.

Elaine Clement, Operations Manager at The Hunter Centre, said: “The Hunter Centre would like to say a massive thank you to Haskins Forest Lodge Garden Centre. Over the last two years, not only has Haskins raised money through quiz nights and raffles, but they have also donated items for our lovely garden including potting tables, bulbs, and feeding stations for wildlife. “Haskins also kindly donated a Flamingo Tree and plants for our memorial to Dr Anne Hunter OBE, patron of The Hunter Centre, who the centre is named after.”

Simon Hughes, General Manager at Haskins, said: “At Haskins Forest Lodge we select a chosen charity each year. For 2022, members of our team decided to support The Hunter Centre and the amazing work they carry out through our fundraising activity.

“The brilliant team at The Hunter Centre has been positive throughout the year, carrying out their invaluable work and helping so many people. Our team is proud to have raised this significant amount to help the charity continue the fantastic services they offer in our local community.”

Haskins Forest Lodge has selected Dogs for Autism as its 2023 Charity Partner of the Year, with this being the first charity to exclusively offer Autism assistance dogs for all ages across the UK.
