Peat Policy

Haskins fully supports the reduction of peat in compost to help save our peat bog habitats. Whilst we recognise that peat has previously been an excellent growing media, we have been working closely with our suppliers and partners to find sustainable alternatives that will enable our garden centres to become peat free.

However, we also understand that this is a journey and that the industry’s drive to achieve this milestone isn’t without its complications. We are therefore committed to helping our customers along this path and will continue to support them so that they can continue to be successful in their gardening activities in a sustainable way.
