Christmas Tree Get the Look: Winter Spice Edition

Now celebrating her 20th Haskins Christmas, Michelle is here to share her tips for recreating our displays at home.

Michelle’s Guide to a Winter Spice Tree

Warm, cosy and full of festive charm, our Winter Spice theme combines chocolatey browns, creams and warm neutrals against snow-covered branches. Across our two displays, cosy textures meet gingerbread, hot chocolates and little festive characters for a theme inspired by some of our favourite parts of Christmas.

Here’s how our team created the look!

 

The Foundations – Tree Choice & Lights

For Winter Spice, we’ve used our pre-lit Snowy Dorchester Pine – 6.5ft for our first display and 9ft for our second. The snowy branches create the perfect backdrop for the warmer neutral tones.

We’ve also added the Amber Glow and Warm White lights from The Yuletide Company, exclusive to Haskins, for an extra warm glow. These lights against the snowy branches really are a wow moment!

Texture is key to this theme! On our first tree, faux-fur pom-pom stems in cream and white are scattered amongst the branches and grouped at the top in place of a traditional tree topper.

Pairing these with snowy branches, soft-touch baubles and touches of glitter gives the tree that lovely layered, cosy feel.

 

 

 

The Bells & Whistles – Baubles & Ornaments

For the base, we’ve layered baubles in cream, taupe and chocolate brown, with amber and gold bringing in a little Christmas sparkle. A mixture of matte, soft-touch, shiny and glitter finishes add plenty of depth.

Our first display features cosy little jumpers, ceramic trees, houses, stars and gonks, while our second goes all-in on the gingerbread! Gingerbread people and houses sit alongside sparkly hot chocolate mugs. The tree also showcases this year’s Haskins Christmas bear and a standing Santa in the same neutral colour palette.

Rather than a traditional star, our second tree is topped with gingerbread people – the perfect finishing touch!

Michelle and our Seasonal teams have such an eye for detail, and it’s all these little layers that bring each display together.
