Training & development

At Haskins we offer a wide range of training to all staff using both internal and external providers.

As a member of the Garden Centre Association we benefit from using the online GROW platform to help our staff develop their understanding and knowledge of our core business of horticulture as well as ensuring they complete all relevant statutory Health and Safety training quickly and easily.

In addition to this we also offer a range of NVQ’s in areas such as customer service, team leadership and food preparation so no matter what role you are in there is always further training available to you if you want it.

We are passionate about ‘Growing our Own’ and use our in-house training and development programme, Bloom, to identify staff who want to progress ensuring that the right development opportunities are available to them.

For those wishing to develop into their first management position or current managers who wish to further their careers, management and leadership skills training is available, and we will always consider financial support for external courses if we consider that it benefits the individual and our business.
